Positive: Located in the older area of Lisbon the local area is a bit run down, dirty and choked with parked cars but perfectly safe. Despite this the apartment is well placed for some excellent local restaurants and there is a bus stop literally two metres from the front door. The apartment is extremely well equipped with all the usual amenities. Although we ate out at restaurants there is a full range of kitchen equipment making self catering a viable option. There was not one but three corkscrews provided which we did use. Great en suite with a rainwater head shower. The washing machine is another added bonus. Although there are cheaper apartments I think that this was excellent value for money.
Negative: Despite signs warning not to close the doors when in the courtyard ( which is very secure ) I did exactly that. Luckily one of the doors had a faulty lock and we were saved an embarrassing call to the owner
